The quality of an Access database can vary greatly between developers. How do you know if a developer has the skills to create a database to your needs? Or is there is a boxed program that will fufill your needs?

Listening: I need to understand what you want to gain from having a database. Monthly or yearly reporting? Accounting data? Analysis and graphs/trends? I need to understand how you will collect the data, who is responsible for inputting data.

Question: I will question your future needs. Knowing you need a better way to track your data currently, and planning to create a design that will fufill future requirements is my goal. It is fairly common for customers to not realize the potential of a database. Sure, you can store customer names and addresses. Would it be helpful to store their birthdate so you can send a card? Or a promotional item? Depending on your business, there are many possiblilities.

Create: Based on the answers from our discussions, I will create a database that meets the needs of your company.
